Abstract

Objective: This study aims to present Agile Resilience as a paradigm shift for crisis management in the context of the VUCA global business environment that goes beyond the traditional crisis management approach to creating a more proactive capability for anticipating disruption, rapid response and resilience.

Methodology: The study uses a conceptual and integrative literature review method and incorporates the results of the study from other disciplines namely strategic management, organizational resilience, and sustainability studies, with thematic synthesis and illustrative empirical evidence from recent global crises including pandemics, disruption in supply chains and geopolitical conflicts.

Findings: Their analysis shows that the Agile Resilience framework, which is based on three pillars: strategic foresight, adaptive governance and sustainable value creation, can help organizations become more resilient, better protect the value of their stakeholders and reach higher levels of long-term competitiveness through the digital transformation, cooperation with stakeholders and scenario planning, and continuous learning.

Conclusion: The research provides an integrated framework that connects crisis management with sustainability needs and offers practical suggestions for leaders to foster resilient cultures and ethical decision-making. In the end, Agile Resilience shifts crisis management from a one-off solution to a long-term business sustainability solution for business in the global market.
